Jean-Paul Industries and InfoTilt Release RentalKey.com to the Public
Jean-Paul Industries, LLC, through its collaboration with InfoTilt, Inc., has released RentalKey.com to the public. RentalKey is online property management software built for real landlords, from a single owner managing their own two-family house to organizations where owners and property managers work together.
RentalKey's promise is summed up in its tagline: “Every door on your books, one key.” Buildings, units, tenants, maintenance and the books all live in one place, so a landlord no longer has to piece together spreadsheets, paper leases and bank statements to know where a property stands.
What RentalKey does
- Portfolio management. Track buildings with their mortgages, insurance and owners, plus an appliance inventory with service history. Units carry their rooms and dimensions, and can be turned into classified listings.
- The full tenant lifecycle. From application to move-out: occupants, pets, vehicles, employers, leases and deposits. Each unit can have more than one rent schedule, so a tenant portion and a Section 8 subsidy can be tracked side by side.
- Work orders. Maintenance requests have priorities and due dates, and overdue items are flagged.
- Bank-statement reconciliation. Upload a bank statement as a CSV file and RentalKey matches the deposits to tenant payments automatically.
- Accounting and paperwork. Accounts payable and receivable, profit-and-loss reporting, and a library of 25 ready-made landlord letters.
- Owners and managers together. Organizations can give owners and property managers their own separate logins.
Pricing and getting started
The first two units are free forever. Beyond that, RentalKey costs $5 a month for each package of five units, with a 5% discount for paying annually. Setup takes about five minutes.
