Gataca Corporation Releases Free DNA Toolkit
Gataca Corporation, a partner of Jean-Paul Industries, LLC, has released its DNA toolkit: six free bioinformatics tools that speed up everyday genomics work, from checking a sequence to reviewing a VCF file. The toolkit is available now at gataca.com/tools.
Private by design
Every tool runs entirely in the web browser. There are no accounts, no installations and no uploads: sequences and variant files stay on the researcher's own device and are never sent to or stored on Gataca's servers. That makes the toolkit suitable for unpublished and sensitive data.
Six tools in one toolkit
- SeqBench: sequence statistics, reverse complement, six-frame translation, open reading frames and motif search.
- PrimerBench: PCR primer pairs ranked by nearest-neighbor melting temperature, with hairpin and dimer checks.
- CutBench: restriction site maps, fragment sizes and a virtual agarose gel.
- AlignBench: global and local DNA alignment with affine gap penalties.
- CodonBench: codon optimization for expression in E. coli, yeast or human cells.
- VariantBench: viewing, filtering and exporting VCF files, with SnpEff and VEP annotations.
Instant, installable and offline
Because nothing is queued or transferred, results appear immediately. Any tool can be installed on a phone or computer with one tap, and installed tools keep working offline, at the bench, in the field or anywhere without a connection.
Free to use
